
Traditional Music Day comes to Pricketts Fort this Saturday, May 8, from 10 am to 7:30 pm, with performances, jamming, workshops and a dance. Musicians will fill the park! Individuals and families are invited to come out and enjoy a full day of music from some of the most talented old time traditional musicians in the area. There is no charge for daytime entertainment or activities. Tours of the Fort and Job Prickett House require a ticket. Food will be available on site. Visitor Center Performance Schedule:

Jamming will take place outside throughout the park – on porches, under trees, in the parking lot, on tailgates… A workshop on Old Time Hymn Singing will be held at 11:00 and instruments will be available on a rotating basis from 12-3 for a Hands-On Lap Dulcimer offered for those who would like to give it a try.
In the evening, Morgantown Friends of Old TIme Music will present a concert/dance with live music by the Lakawanna Longnecks from 4:45 to 7:30 at Pricketts Fort. The Longnecks will play a short concert, after which chairs will be cleared for a dance from 5:45 to 7:30.
The cost of attending the dance is $5 for adults, $3 for students. No dancing experience or partners required: Callers Taylor Runner and Richard Eddy will walk through each dance before calling to music.
